Dolphinz811's Week 10 Ballot

RankTeamReason
Arizona (-) As per usual, a coin toss between Arizona & Michigan for the top spot. I'm just sticking to my guns.
Michigan (-) That said, every week that goes by makes me more and more tempted to swap Arizona & Michigan. This team is insane.
Iowa State (-) A very clear #3 in my opinion.
UConn (-) I was tempted to drop them for some of the undefeated teams below them, but I truly do think they have the best loss in the country and a good enough resume to stay above...for now.
Nebraska (+4) The Illinois win proved to me they were legit. The Michigan St win showed me that they deserve top 5 status. This team isn't complete perfection but it has heart!
Purdue (-) Them jumping over Gonzaga isn't really due to anything they did, but they continue to be solid with their only loss being to my #3 team.
Gonzaga (-2) They arguably have the best loss in the country, but I had to drop them because their close contests with San Diego & Seattle worry me. They honestly shoulda lost to Seattle. They got very lucky.
Vanderbilt (+2) I so badly want to give them their props like Nebraska because this past week proved that they have quality wins with UCF & SMU having big results. If they beat Bama, they're top 5 100%.
Duke (-2) They've done nothing wrong. Just moving down by proxy of undefeated Nebraska & Vanderbilt moving up. Kinda worried the ACC is gonna be weak sans them again this year.
BYU (+1) I mean, it was a given they'd hit my top 10 again. I've had the same top 11 this past month but they've always been #11. With Michigan St's loss, they finally hit top 10!
Houston (+2) I'm still skeptical of them, hence why I'm sure my placement of them is lower than most. That said, they keep winning, so I have to move them up.
Michigan State (-4) I almost only dropped Michigan St to #11 to keep an entire month of the same top 11, and honestly they didn't look bad against Nebraska. It's loss #2 though so that's why their below Houston.
UCF (+10) Will I regret this? Possibly, but I've had UCF ranked for longer than most on cbbpoll, so them winning over Kansas made me feel vindicated after cowardly lowering them last week.
Alabama (-) I still stand by my belief that they're the best 3-loss team.
Illinois (+1) And Illinois is behind Alabama as the second best 3-loss team due to their head-to-head loss.
Arkansas (+1) I thought I'd raise Arkansas higher after their win over Tennessee, but then I realized their best two wins are the same two wins Illinois has, and I think Illinois's losses are better.
North Carolina (-5) As someone high on Vanderbilt & UCF, I should've been higher on SMU. This week opened my eyes to SMU which means North Carolina's loss to them, while drop-worthy, wasn't truly awful in my eyes.
Iowa (+2) Their two losses are some quality losses. I just wish they had some more quality wins since those Xavier & Ole Miss wins aren't impressive anymore. The win over UCLA is a start though!
Texas Tech (+5) I'm still a little hesitant on Texas Tech cause outside of the Duke win, there's not much there since LSU & Oklahoma St have good records but haven't played anyone. They keep winning though!
Kansas (-5) I do think Kansas is the best 4-loss team in the country and that's probably helped by the fact I'm high on UCF. That said, 4 losses this early isn't great but I'm sure they can rebound.
Villanova (NEW) Is Villanova finally back? Well...mostly I think. Their only losses are to two top 10 teams, one that's arguably #1, and their wins over Wisconsin & Seton Hall aren't too shabby.
Georgia (NEW) The Auburn win is what I truly needed to feel comfortable ranking them, since their best wins previously were measly Xavier & Cincinnati. The Clemson loss is a bit meh, but 13-1 is impressive.
Tennessee (-5) The loss to Arkansas wasn't bad, but it adds another loss to their loss column. They have to be below Kansas due to the head-to-head, but those two teams are close; just separated by new entries.
Louisville (-5) I toyed with kicking Louisville out of my top 25, but I couldn't think of who to replace them with. I don't think the loss to Stanford is great, but they picked up a solid win over California.
USC (-4) Did they get crushed by Michigan? Yes. Does every team get crushed by Michigan? Yes. Is Michigan maybe the #1 team? Yes. So would it feel wrong to drop USC from my top 25? Yes. So #25 it is.

Overall Rationale

OUT: California (22), Auburn (25) - 26: SMU, 27: Seton Hall, 28: Auburn, 29: California, 30: Miami (OH)
