| Rank | Team | Reason |
|---|---|---|
Michigan | +3 Buzzsaw keeps spinning and now the strength of their record reflects it after the win over USC
Vanderbilt | -1 Bama and LSU up next
Arizona | 0
Nebraska | +6 Boost for win over MSU
Gonzaga | +1
UConn | -4 Won, but faced two bottom dwellers (Marquette is bad bad)
Purdue | +6
Iowa State | 0 Undefeated with a blowout win over Purdue, yes, but the rest of their schedule has been lackluster, especially in the bottom 5 teams they've played being terrible
BYU | 0
Saint Mary's | -3 (15-2) Keeps winning, but their Boise loss is getting worse
Michigan State | -6 Loss to Nebraskaball
Duke | 0
North Carolina | -1
SMU | +4 Impressive win over UNC
UCF | +1
Alabama | +4
Texas Tech | -2
USC | -4 Loss to Michigan
Villanova | +3
Illinois | -1
Houston | 0 (13-1) Faced weak slate overall. Record is not all that special given who all they've played. But a bout with TTU looms and will help to legitimize their resume
Utah State | +1
Seton Hall | NEW (13-2) Win over Creighton propels them into top 25
Kansas | -7 Loss to UCF
Virginia Tech | OT wins are still wins
Attempt at a strictly resume-based ranking of all relative quality of wins and losses. D1 only and H2H is not explicitly factored in. Early season diversity in OOC schedule strength will cause outliers compared to more traditional style polling. There's not a whole lot of slack to be found for teams that started out rough since there's lots of teams out there with pretty decent records and fairly equivalent overall schedule strengths.
