| Rank | Team | Reason |
|---|---|---|
Arizona |
Michigan | With Iowa State no longer undefeated, you can not tell me there is a better resume outside of Arizonauc
UConn | Got a nice win at Seton Hall, avoided disaster at Georgetown, and have a really good overall horesume
Houston |
Duke |
Purdue | A pair of very solid wins vs Iowa and at USCg
Gonzaga |
Nebraska | Took care of business twice this week vs Oregon and at Northwestern. The Huskers remain undefeated, though I want one more big win before they jump above the teams ahead of them
Michigan State |
Iowa State | The Cyclones still look good, but man was this a rough week. They got blown out at Kansas and lost at Cincy. They'll be fine, but that hurts their ranking pretty hard for now
Illinois | Illinois keeps sliding up just by taking care of business
Texas Tech | They took care of Utah and then beat BYU for a big win. They now have wins on Duke and BYU and lack a bad loss (though they've been close)
BYU | Beat a solid TCU team and then lost at Texas Tech. The Cougars still look great, there is just a lot of other teams that look a little better and/or who have better resumes
Virginia | Two good wins at Louisville and at SMU. They keep winning while the teams above them didn't, so they've moved up to 14.
Florida | This is a very different team the past two weeks. They picked up wins on UGA, Tennessee, at OU, and at Vandy. They're a great team with a good resume
Vanderbilt | Rough week for the Comodores, losing at Texas and vs Florida. They still have a great record and resume, they just need to bounce back
Alabama | Bama recovers from an 0-2 week last week by going 2-0 this week. The Tide are back on the right track
Clemson | Took care of BC easily and then beat a good Miami team. The Tigers keep winning, so they keep sliding above those who don't (and jump St. Louis due to resume)
Saint Louis | The Billikens continue to encounter very little issue with A10 play. Their schedule didn't give them much of a chance to get signature wins, but I still think this is a very quality team
Miami (OH) | The Redhawks blowout CMU, but nearly took their first L vs Buffalo. They survived in OT, and continue to have the best record in the country
Georgia | The Bulldogs took a bad loss to Ole Miss, but instantly made up for it by beating Arkansas in a very streaky game.
Arkansas | Arkansas blows out SC before letting themselves get jumped on by UGA. I think the Razorbacks are talented, but they need to figure out what to do in road games or things may get bad
North Carolina | They lost at Stanford and at Cal. This probably looks like a huge drop, but you can not tell me the Tar Heels have passed the eye test these past two weeks.
Kansas | KU blew out ISU and Baylor. The Jayhawks are all over the place, but for right now I'll give them the 25th spot. It seems basically every other team just outside the rankings lost this past week.
Louisville | Louisville lost to UVA before winning big at Pitt. The Cards have been very iffy looking without Mikel Brown Jr., and NEED him healthy to go on any real run
Others seriously considered: George Mason, St. John's
