| 8 | Gonzaga | (9) Finally got Ike back, good home stand against Saint Mary's. But this team feels like it's on the bottom end of this hyper elite top tier. |
| 9 | Michigan State | (5) Not too concerned by the Michigan game, but almost losing at Rutgers is alarming! |
| 10 | Nebraska | (7) Two close losses to two very good teams this week. Nothing to be concerned about, but I do think top 5 may be too optimistic for the Huskers. Around 10th feels right for them |
| 11 | Kansas | (14) Slowly creeping back to the top of the sport |
| 12 | Florida | (18) If this week's version of Florida is what we're getting the rest of the season, watch out. But they need to shake off the inconsistency |
| 13 | Texas Tech | (11) Not a bad loss @ UCF. But I do think depth concerns will catch them in the occasional game |
| 14 | Purdue | (12) Stopped their slide @ Maryland (what the turtles are good for this season). Reason for concern though! |

| 21 | North Carolina | (21) I will never trust the coaching, but Wilson is an astonishing talent |
| 22 | Iowa | (24) Just keep winning. That's the Ben McCollum way. |
| 23 | Louisville | (20) Duke is so good I almost don't blame the Cards. Good bounce back W against SMU |
| 24 | UCF | (Not considered) No bad losses and just secured a second major win. This team might save Dawkins's job |
