| Rank | Team | Reason |
|---|---|---|
Houston | #1 team for me pre-season too, lets see if they can handle Oakland (and Auburn, I guess)
Duke |
UConn |
Arizona | Wasn't that high on them pre season but taking down the defending champs has to count for something this early
Michigan | 1 spot above Purdue because with the one shared data point of Oakland, Michigan took care of business
Purdue |
BYU |
Florida |
Kentucky |
Texas Tech |
Alabama |
Louisville |
St. John's | Can't imagine Rick would be thrilled seeing Louisville exactly one spot ahead of him
Gonzaga |
Illinois | Not sure why KPom and Torvik have Illinois top 3 so I'm really interested to see how the Texas Tech game goes this week
North Carolina |
Tennessee |
Iowa State |
Wisconsin |
Michigan State |
Creighton |
Arkansas | Actually higher on this team than I was pre-season after seeing them only lose by 3 at MSU
Vanderbilt | Top 25 Vanderbilt in both this poll and the CFB poll is great, college sports are so back
UCLA |
Utah State | I try to always rank at least one deserving mid-major and a neutral win over another top mid (VCU) is the way into my heart
Ranking 26-30: 26. Kansas, 27. IU, 28. Miss. St., 29. Auburn, 30. San Diego St. Hoping to make it back in the poll, missed the deadline this year but I've been doing this annually since I think 2019 so even if this doesn't count it's still fun!
