DCProf's Week 3 Ballot

RankTeamReason
Houston Faced first test of year and passed in Eugene.
Texas Don't think they are top 5 at end of year...but destroying Gonzaga and Arkansas in scrimmage warrants #2 ranking so far
Baylor My preseason #1, good win over UCLA. Lost to fundamentally solid UVA team which shot 65% from three. Cavs would have beat anyone that night.
North Carolina Still think Heels are overrated by most, results this year have not shown me otherwise.
Virginia Might end up being the favorite in the ACC.
Kansas Nice win over Duke. Nice blend of veterans and young talent.
Creighton Haven't been tested yet but will in Maui.
Gonzaga Big wins over UK & MSU, bad loss to Texas. Respect for scheduling those games.
Arkansas Scrimmage blowout to Texas looking better now.
Duke Saw them in person on Friday...wasn't that impressed. Lack elite athleticism or "dawg" mentality I think.
Michigan State Wins over UK & Nova and 1 possession loss to Gonzaga have Spartans knocking on the door of top 10.
Kentucky Two reasonable loses can't drop UK lower than this.
Arizona Hasn't played anyone yet.
Indiana Big win at Xavier answers *some* questions for me.
Auburn
Alabama Has looked good early in season against decent mid-majors.
Illinois Good results this week. May be best team in B1G at end of year.
San Diego State Win over BYU remains solid.
Purdue Continues to play well but hasn't been tested yet.
Maryland Beating Saint Louis & Miami by a combined 46 points was impressive weekend.
Tennessee
UCLA Remain skeptical of this team, close losses to Illinois & Baylor isn't bad though.
Dayton Was without one starter and another hobbled in loss at UNLV
Xavier Narrow loss to Indiana warrants remaining in top 25.
Toledo Beat UAB, dominate wins over Valpo & Oakland
