BlueGreenMikey's Week 4 Ballot

RankTeamReason
Purdue (Prev 2) A fantastic week in Maui gives them a stranglehold on #1.
Arizona (Prev 3) Allowed Michigan State to make it a game, but still has the best wins on the season outside of Purdue's Maui run, and looks great.
Marquette (Prev 4) That close UCLA game continues to feel confusing since they surrounded it with a great road win at Illinois and nearly taking down #1 and #2 on back to back days. Must avoid lapses.
Kansas (Prev 1) Clipped by a great performance by Marquette, they still look every bit a Top 5 team.
UConn (Prev 5) Looked good against Texas, and finally has a very strong win with the rest of the Top 5.
Tennessee (Prev 6) Looked excellent in losses against #1 and #4. Has a good win at Wisconsin from earlier, which elevates them above others in the next 4-5 spots.
Duke (Prev 7) Continues to destroy bad opponents, MSU win looks a little better, and Arizona loss keeps looking more and more excusable.
Houston (Prev 9) Continues to destroy mid-level opponents, but missing anything signature.
Miami (FL) (Prev 8) Looks fine against mid-level opponents, also missing anything super impressive.
Gonzaga (Prev 12) Had the unfortunate draw of Purdue first, so ended up having to run through losers bracket in Maui. Looked pretty good against Purdue, less impressive against UCLA.
Texas (Prev 11) Lost to #5, but looked strong in their other game this week. The confusing close win over Louisville lingers.
Baylor (Prev 13) Keeps rolling, though gave up way too many points to Florida. Stuff to work on.
Kentucky (Prev 14) Questionable performances against St. Joes, but the offense continues to be very impressive.
Illinois (Prev 18) Has continued to look very good since its close loss to Marquette.
BYU (Prev 20) The SDSU win seemed a bit strange at first, but BYU keeps rolling. Might be very good this year.
UCLA (Prev 21) Played Gonzaga and and Marquette very very close in Maui, and has looked good otherwise.
Villanova (Prev NR) Has the bad Penn loss, but unlike other teams with bad losses, followed it up with strong performances since.
North Carolina (Prev 25) Has looked good, and would be unbeaten if not for a very close loss to Villanova.
Texas A&M (Prev 17) Has two true road wins and a good win over ISU, not bad loss to FAU.
San Diego State (Prev NR) Dropped previously for the BYU loss, which looks like it might not be a bad loss. Has looked good otherwise.
Auburn (Prev NR) Has been rolling other than the loss to Baylor, which is totally excusable. Needs a signature win.
Oklahoma (Prev NR) Has some stronger wins than Miss. St.
Mississippi State (Prev NR) Has a couple of not bad wins, but needs something stronger to move up.
Ohio State (Prev NR) Outside of a loss to TAMU, looks pretty good.
Alabama (Prev 15) The offense looks unimpeachable, but can they stop anyone?

Overall Rationale

Also Considered In Order: Memphis, Virginia, Colorado, Iowa State, Michigan State, Florida Atlantic, Florida, Creighton, Pitt, Oregon, USC, Colorado State, TCU, Nevada, Wisconsin Dropped Creighton (10, awful awful showing against CSU), Colorado (16, not a bad loss, but with it, needs some good wins), Iowa State (19, TAMU was a fine loss, but VaTech was not), Drake (22, blown out by SFA, no good wins yet), Oregon (23, Alabama was a fine loss, but Santa Clara was not), Virginia (24, quality loss, but this team looks like it will lose a ton of close games)
