| Rank | Team | Reason |
|---|---|---|
Gonzaga | +0 - Stays at #1 this week with a nice road win against San Diego St.
Kansas | +0 - Bill Self is a helluva coach, team is rolling
UConn | +0 - Nations longest winning streak, trying to get three in a row this season. No reason to drop them
Auburn | +0 - No reason to drop the Tigers
Houston | +4 - Time to jump Houston as they're looking really tough right now
Marquette | +11 - Biggest jumper of the week with two good wins (H Purdue, N Georgia), both by double digits
Purdue | -1 - Marquette is playing really well, first true road game curse got Matt Painter's squad
Alabama | +10 - Alabama handled Illinois close to home, and at times looked like the Final Four team of a year ago
Tennessee | +1 - Ran Baylor off the floor at times, team is looking tough early and appears to be a top ten team at this point in the season
Duke | +2 - Arizona looks to be a little overrated at this point, but that's a tough cross country win on the road
North Carolina | -6 - Dropped only due to others having a better week
Iowa State | -4 - Same as UNC, dropped due to other teams winning on the road and neutral site wins
Kentucky | -6 - Dropped due to a cupcake week. Probably a little controversial to be below Duke, but Duke has looked better outside of the H2H matchup
Wisconsin | NR - I didn't have Wisconsin ranked last week, but all they do is win. A scare against UTRGV but wins against Arizona and Pitt look good
Cincinnati | -1 - No notable wins this week, but team is playing well and taking care of business
Florida | -5 - Undefeated gators drop below teams playing better against better quality teams. Feel like Florida belongs here this week
Baylor | -2 - Loss to Tennessee shouldn't have a huge penalty, and win against St. John's will look great come March
Arkansas | +1 - Two wins this week, watching them play feels like this is a good spot for them
Drake | NR - It's arguable that nobody had a better week than drake. Three top 100 wins on a neutral floor...show me a loss on the schedule coming up
Indiana | +5 - Didn't look great until mid 2nd half against UNC Greensboro, but will be a contender in the Big 10 this year
Memphis | -5 - Good neutral site win against San Francisco, but dropped due to other teams and overall SOS
Creighton | -9 - Home loss to Nebraska (double digit) is definitely a head scratcher
Illinois | -3 - Didn't look great at times in Alabama, but lots of positives with Will Riley and Ivisic
Utah State | NR - Big win against Iowa on a neutral floor, and Montana is a better win than people think. Still undefeated
Ohio State | -1 - Two cupcake wins, just barely made the cut this week
Others that just missed (in order): Texas A&M, Pittsburgh, Saint Mary's, Mississippi St., Xavier, Nevada, Oregon, Dayton, Maryland, Georgia, Ole Miss, UC Irvine, Columbia, Wichita St.
