Dolphinz811's Week 5 Ballot

RankTeamReason
Purdue (-) Three horse race for my top spot this week but I decided to stick with the same top 2 as last week.
Arizona (-) Three horse race for my top spot this week but I decided to stick with the same top 2 as last week.
Michigan (+5) Three horse race for my top spot this week but I decided to stick with the same top 2 as last week. Amazing wins though and the margin of victory was insanity!
Duke (-1) Still a great team, just haven't proven themselves the way the top 3 have.
Michigan State (+6) I honestly didn't even notice how great they've been doing thus far until I went to do these rankings.
Louisville (-1) They look great so far!
UConn (-1) Outside of their lone loss to Arizona, they look great. Easily the best 1-loss team.
BYU (+2) Have them right behind Connecticut since they lost to them.
Iowa State (+5) They don't have any crazy good wins but they're undefeated and have some nice wins against St Johns & Creighton.
Gonzaga (+2) The loss to Michigan does prevent them from getting a higher spot, but them beating Alabama made me raise them a few spots.
Vanderbilt (+6) Most underrated team currently? I debated top 10 for them but I'm sure the polls will disrespect them. Quality wins over UCF, VCU, and St Marys. They look good!
Tennessee (+6) Great win over Houston! Wish they would've beaten Kansas, but on a second look, Kansas looks better than I thought so I won't penalize Tennessee too much.
Houston (-9) Still think they're fraudulent honestly and not as good as people thought they were gonna be, but I can't penalize them too harshly for losing to Tennessee. None of their wins impress me though.
North Carolina (+1) I do wish their loss was closer, but it's not a bad loss in my eyes and like I said above, I think Kansas is better than I thought previously so their win over them looks better now.
Alabama (-8) Highest 2-loss team! I mean, last week I refused to have a 2-loss team in my rankings so #15 is high. Neither of their losses are bad.
Indiana (+6) They look solid so far. Would like to see them face a harder challenge which they will this week with Louisville.
Iowa (+9) A solid Ole Miss win with multiple other teams falling this week made me reassess the Hawkeyes and I think they're a sneaky good team.
Kansas (NEW) In hindsight, neither of their losses are bad and they went a clean 3-0 this week with a great win over Tennessee!
Nebraska (+4) The next two weeks will really show me who these Cornhuskers truly are. I'm still a bit hesitant with them as of now.
Illinois (-7) The jury is still out for me on if that Texas Tech win is good, but both their losses have been relatively close to good teams above them.
Utah State (+3) Outside of the obvious answer of Gonzaga, I do believe Utah State is the clear next best mid-major. Just wish they had a better schedule.
Florida (-13) I just don't like that TCU loss at all. This is the same TCU that lost to New Orleans. Maybe that was a freak loss for them and time will tell, but for now TCU doesn't look good to me. Bad loss.
USC (NEW) This past week has made me keep an eye on Seton Hall after they beat NC St, so seeing USC beat them had me put an eye on them and that 7-0 start should be rewarded.
UCF (NEW) I think I'm way higher on Vanderbilt than most, but because of that, it makes me view UCF's lone loss to them as a quality loss. Texas A&M and Pitt may not be amazing, but they're solid wins.
Oklahoma State (NEW) Wanted to get another undefeated team in my top 25 for the last slot and even though their schedule hasn't been crazy, they have some solid wins over Texas A&M and Northwestern.

Overall Rationale

OUT: St John's (16), UCLA (19), NC St (20), Georgetown (21) - 26: California, 27: Seton Hall, 28: UC San Diego, 29: Baylor, 30: Clemson
