DCProf's Week 6 Ballot

RankTeamReason
Purdue Undefeated, #1 Strength of record.
UConn #2 strength of record. All wins by double digits.
Virginia Remains undefeated. Wins over Baylor/Illinois. Game against Houston looms.
Alabama Wins over Houston, UNC, MSU, only loss to UCONN. Memphis/Gonzaga this week.
Tennessee Mysterious loss against Colorado, but rank them ahead of Jayhawks beause of head-to-head win
Kansas Wins against Duke, NC State, Wisconsin, Mizzou, & Seton Hall. Only loss to Tennessee
Baylor My preseason #1 team, good wins over UCLA & Gonzaga; lost to UVA when they shot lights out…not sure what happened against Marquete
Houston Probably better than #8 team in country but doesn't have resume to rank higher than this at the moment.
Arizona Nice collection of wins for the Wildcats. Looking like favorites in Pac 12...just like I had them in preseason.
Texas Fall with loss to Illini but it was in OT...but only meaningful win was over Gonzaga. Stays ahead of Arkansas by virtue of scrimmage win. Ha!
Arkansas Only loss by 3 to Creighton without best player
Duke Wins over OSU, Iowa, & Xavier, loses to Kansas & blowout at hands of Purdue
Gonzaga Still top 10 in BPI, Torvik, & Ken Pom. Losses to Texas, Purdue, Baylor, but wins over Kentucky, MSU, Xavier
Kentucky May still be top 5 team by end of season.
Wisconsin Wins over Maryland, Iowa, Marquette, USC, Dayton. Loses to Kansas/Wake
Maryland Lost to Tenn & Wisc. this week but still has wins over Illinois, Miami, & SLU
Illinois Not easy to rank. Wins over Texas & UCLA. Losses to Maryland, Virginia, & Penn State
UCLA Win over Oregon, loses to Illinois & Baylor, belief that they were overated in preseason remains intact.
Mississippi State Not really a believer, but undefeated with win over Marquette hard not to rank at this point.
Marquette Blew out both Baylor & Notre Dame. Close loses to Purdue, Wisconsin, & Mississippi State
Indiana Wins over Xavier & UNC. Blew out by Arizona & Rutgers
TCU Wins over Iowa & Providence after slow early season start
New Mexico Undefeated & beat Saint Mary's team that SDSU lost to
Charleston Only loss to UNC.
Xavier Three close loses to Indiana, Duke, & Gonzaga, wins over Florida & WVU

Overall Rationale

Fell out: #17 Creighton, #21 San Diego State, #22 Iowa State. Others considered: Iowa, Miami, Ohio State, Texas Tech, UNLV, Virginia Tech.
