| 2 | Purdue | The Northwestern loss is the only blemish on a great Purdue team. Basically 1b to UConn after the win over Arizona. |
| 3 | Houston | Great win over A&M, no matter if they let them come back within 4. |
| 4 | Kansas | Good comeback to win against a probably underrated IU team in Bloomington. |
| 5 | Arizona | I’ve not been as high on Arizona as everyone else but I won’t punish them that bad over the Purdue loss |
| 6 | Marquette | Nothing notable, strangely close win against St. Thomas MN but they keep winning. |
| 7 | Kentucky | Huge win over a really good UNC boosts UK into the top 10. This team is just getting started. |
| 8 | Tennessee | Finding their footing very well. |
| 9 | Creighton | Weird loss to UNLV, evened out with a good win over Alabama. Creighton stays in the top 10 for now. |
| 10 | Oklahoma | They keep on winning |
| 11 | North Carolina | Played their asses off against UK and took them down to the wire, I won’t punish them much for the loss, I still believe this is the best UNC team in years. |

| 13 | Gonzaga | Won’t drop them too much for losing to the defending champs, but they need a statement win for me to take them more seriously. |

| 15 | Illinois | Looking solid still. |
| 16 | Florida Atlantic | Good win over St. Bonaventure, HUGE game against Arizona coming up, should be a great one. |
| 17 | James Madison | They keep on winning. |
| 18 | BYU | Nice win over Georgia State. |
| 19 | Clemson | First loss of the year comes to Memphis. Now let’s see if they’ll bounce back. |
| 20 | Virginia | Strangely *close* win against a pretty bad Northeastern has me a bit concerned about them. |
| 21 | Miami (FL) | Decent bounce back win against La Salle, but it was still closer than I thought it would be. |
| 22 | Texas | Still not really high on this Texas team but they keep winning. |
| 23 | Ole Miss | They just keep winning. |
| 24 | Auburn | Impressive wins over Indiana and USC. Loss to App State aside, they’re playing too good to not be ranked right now. |
| 25 | Memphis | I feel like Memphis has finally done enough to earn a spot in the poll. |
