Best player in the country, best resume so far, have looked even better than last year, no doubt number 1
2
Houston
Dominant through weaker non con schedule, still expect them to hold their own in big 12
3
Kansas
Haven't been overly impressed by Kansas but they have avoided landmines when other top teams haven't and have started blowing lesser teams out.
4
Illinois
Success may not continue without Shannon but have been very impressive this season to this point
5
North Carolina
Have looked really good this year with RJ Davis becoming one of the best guards in the country.
6
Arizona
Tough loss to Stanford. Never good to give up triple digits but seems more like outlier shooting than any concerning trend (who knows though, it was on the pac 12 network)
7
Marquette
As much potential as any team in the country when they are clicking as shown by wins over KU, Illinois and Creighton. Have taken some tough losses on the road but still a top tier team
8
UConn
Hopefully Clingan can come back soon. Shouldn't miss him too much with weaker early BE schedule. Will be key to see how Castle and Ball acclimate and improve
9
Kentucky
I've been really impressed by them. Freshman guards have been dynamic and consistent. Adding Bradshaw to mix is huge. Would be in top 5 if not for bad loss to UNCW and OT escape against St Joes
