| 12 | Texas A&M | Good talent this year, coaching seems pretty good |

| 16 | Kentucky | Quite a bit of talent, has underperformed with talent recently |

| 20 | Miami (FL) | FF team from last year returning some good pieces |

| 23 | North Carolina | Solid talent, unsure of coaching |
| 24 | Illinois | Most positions are very good, unsure of PG |
| 25 | TCU | Should have a solid team this year |
Hybrid of computer and human rankings, mixed with my own person feel based on knowledge I have gathered in the offseason. Most of the teams 8-20 could be interchangeable as they all have question marks but very good signs. Same would go for 21-30 with Maryland, UCLA, KSt, Wisky, and Colorado being in the mix with the ones listed.
